A Legacy of Light and Hope
Thoughtful stewardship is one of the ways St. James honours the generosity of those who choose to support the parish through a legacy gift.
The following questions explain how legacy gifts are received, managed, invested, and used.
Legacy gifts to St. James Anglican Church are managed through one of two stewardship pathways, depending on the wishes of the donor.
Unrestricted gifts received by St. James Anglican Church will generally be added to the St. James Strategic Reserve, where they are invested through the Diocese of Ontario Consolidated Investment Fund.
Endowment gifts are established through the Anglican Foundation of Canada, which invests and administers the fund while providing annual distributable income to St. James in support of its mission and ministry.
Both approaches are intended to strengthen the long-term ministry of the parish.
